We Need Jobs, Revenues From New Terminal
I find it wonderfully ironic that California is traumatized by military base closings and loss of jobs, while certain Burbank City Council members and Airport Authority commissioners are doing their utmost to delay, impair and even derail the construction of a new, badly needed terminal facility at Burbank Airport.
Don’t these people know that our struggling economy needs these jobs provided by the airline industry, which has been a Burbank business for 65 years? Lockheed lasted 50 years in Burbank; at least airports and their related jobs can’t be shipped off to other states.
Wake up, citizens of Burbank, and tell these folks we need the jobs, the greater convenience, the taxes and business revenues and the much greater safety that a modernized air terminal will provide.
And don’t forget, we are all part of the flying public!
