Man Is Shot for Not Giving Money
An 18-year-old Oxnard man was shot Tuesday morning when he refused a gang member who demanded money, police said.
Miguel Rodriguez, who was shot in the chest, was in stable condition Tuesday night at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard.
Rodriguez had been walking east on Colonia Road from Hayes Avenue at 11 a.m. when he was approached for money, Oxnard police said. An investigation is continuing.
