While the National Labor Relations Board considered a petition to decertify the NBA Players Assn., the union resumed contract talks with the league, and Simon Gourdine, executive director of the union, accepted the resignation of W. Charles Bennett, who had acted as a financial consultant to the players’ association during the negotiations.
