OXNARD : Kids’ Safety Course Is Coming to Town
- Share via
Safety’s the name of a new town to be erected in The Esplanade mall parking lot.
Beginning Saturday and lasting through next Friday, parents are invited to bring their children to Safety Town--a miniature metropolis where children will be taught the meaning of traffic signs and proper street crossing.
The event, which is in its 11th year, is sponsored by the Oxnard Police Department and The Esplanade.
Five 45-minute classes will be held hourly beginning at noon each day. Children who bicycle through Safety Town will each receive a certificate for completing the course and a personal ID safety kit. Class size is limited and preregistration is recommended. For more information, call 485-1146.
