Chatsworth : Driver Passes Out, Dies in Freeway Crash
A Chatsworth woman died Thursday when she lost control of her car while driving on the Moorpark Freeway, but two children in the car escaped with minor injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Valerie Brown Kayne, 30, apparently passed out, and her car then hit a post and a guardrail, authorities said. Officials did not know why the woman passed out.
Two passengers, 5-year-old Wesley Kayne and 1-year-old Preston Kayne, were treated for minor injuries at Los Robles Regional Medical Center and released, hospital officials said.
