SANTA PAULA : Adults Tied Up in Robbery of Home

Share

A Santa Paula family’s home was invaded early Tuesday by five men who tied up several adults but left one adult unbound to care for three children, who also were left untied, police said.

The family, who was not identified by Santa Paula police, said the robbers had forced their way into the home in the 300 block of Citrus Street about 7:30 a.m. after one of them posed as a police officer.

Two suspects were stopped in Piru about 45 minutes later when a California Highway Patrol officer saw a car matching the description of the suspects’ gray sedan. Two handguns and property belonging to the robbery victims were found in the car, police said.
