San Gabriel Valley : ABANDONED BABY
Authorities on Thursday searched for a woman who gave birth at a San Dimas hospital and then left two hours later, abandoning her baby girl.
The woman gave a false address and Social Security number when she was admitted to San Dimas Community Hospital on Wednesday, sheriff’s deputies said.
The woman, who identified herself as Diane Rodgers, 27, gave birth to a healthy 7 1/2-pound girl.
The baby is in the custody of the county Department of Children and Family Services, Deputy Gabe Ramirez said. The mother is described as white, blonde, 5 feet 4 inches and 135 pounds. Anyone with information about the mother should call deputies at (818) 913-1715.
