FULLERTON — The body of an infant was found Friday abandoned in a car, and authorities were questioning the mother late Friday night.
Fire officials discovered the body about 6:45 p.m. after a woman became suspicious about the car parked in front of her house in the 2400 block of West Applewood Circle.
When she looked inside, she saw the baby but could not tell if the child was alive, and so called for paramedics.
Authorities said they didn’t know if the infant had been stillborn or had died after birth. Nor did they release the name of the mother.
Fire Capt. John Pierson said police are treating it as a possible homicide.
