Nearly $250,000 in federal aid will go to a quake-damaged housing project in Reseda, Rep. Anthony C. Beilenson (D-Woodland Hills) announced this week.
The Sherman Arms Apartments at 17760 Sherman Way will receive a $234,075 loan to help bring the 74-unit building back to sound condition.
The funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Earthquake Loan Program (HELP), which assists privately owned housing projects that receive federal assistance for low-income, elderly and disabled tenants.
