SANTA PAULA : Stabbing Victim Treated, Suspect Held
A 34-year-old Oxnard man was treated for a single stab wound and released Friday after a scuffle in a Santa Paula bar led to violence on the street.
Police said Martin Jesus Juarez Flores, 24, of Santa Paula, was booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
About 9:50 p.m., police responded to a call that a man with a knife was chasing another individual in the 1000 block of East Harvard Boulevard. Police said they found the stabbing victim, who was transported to Santa Paula Memorial Hospital.
Based on descriptions the victim and the witnesses provided, police said they stopped the suspect in his car at 8th and Ventura streets.
