Overstaying Her Welcome?

Robert Hilburn is right that Hole dominated Lollapalooza ’95 (“Lolla-gal-ooza!,” Aug. 16) but wrong that it wasn’t a power play. On Tuesday’s show, Courtney Love refused to wrap up her set and used a substantial portion of headliner Sonic Youth’s time. Many fans were cursing her name at 11:30 p.m. when [Hole’s extended performance] forced Sonic Youth to end their set early.
