OUTLOOK

The Eagles, with 14 starters back, could contend in the league and Southern Section Division V playoffs. The defense should be solid despite some untested linebackers. There’s not much line depth, but plenty at the skill positions; Nickels, Brown, Newman and Collins are all offensive threats. Collins, coming off double knee surgery, gained nearly 1,000 yards as a freshman; he should be 100% by the time league play begins.
