Car Hits Tree, Killing Driver
NORTH HOLLYWOOD —
While trying not to rear-end another car on the Hollywood Freeway, a motorist crashed into a tree, suffering fatal injuries, the California Highway Patrol said Sunday.
Raymond Wah Yuen Won, 26, of Lancaster was driving southbound Saturday night on the freeway in North Hollywood near Lankershim Boulevard when he swerved to the right to avoid hitting a car. He lost control of his automobile and slammed into a tree, CHP Officer Kerrie Hawkins said.
Won died of his injuries three hours later at a local hospital.
