North Hollywood police continued their search Saturday for a 41-year-old man who has been missing from his parents’ Sun Valley home since Thursday morning.

Apolonio Contreras, who has been living in the United States for a month, was last seen at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Vineland Avenue and San Fernando Road.

Police said witnesses spotted Contreras early Saturday morning near North Hollywood Park.

Relatives said Contreras, a former farm laborer from Mexico, has a drinking problem and suffers from depression.
