Commercials During ‘Seinfeld’ Nearly $1 Million a Minute: NBC is charging $490,000 for a 30-second spot during the top-rated comedy, the first time a TV series has commanded so high a price, according to the trade journal Advertising Age. The publication said “Home Improvement” ranked second in its annual survey, at $475,000. “ER” was the third-most-expensive show, at $450,000. “Friends” was fourth, at $400,000.
