Military Harrier Jet Crashes

HAVELOCK, N.C. —
A Harrier jet crashed after colliding with a second Marine Corps Harrier near the Cherry Point Marine Corps Air Station, and crews were searching Tuesday for one of the pilots. The second jet and its pilots landed safely. None of the fliers saw the missing pilot eject from the single-seat AV-8B Harrier during the training exercise late Monday, a Marine spokesman said.
