Chaminade 51, Granada Hills 20--Jason Giovannettone scored on his first four rushing attempts covering 69, 22, nine and 12 yards in the first quarter as the Eagles romped on their home field.

Giovannettone finished with 223 yards in 14 carries for Chaminade (3-0), including a 47-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

Granada Hills receiver Ernest Quinley tried to match Giovannettone, scoring on a 94-yard pass play, a 65-yard reverse and a 28-yard reception. He finished with three receptions for 131 yards and one carry for 62 yards for the Highlanders (0-3).

Leading 28-0 at halftime, Chaminade got sloppy. The Eagles were penalized 13 times for 156 yards, most of which came in the second half.

Quarterback Jason Zdenek completed six of 17 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown with an interception.
