Rio Hondo 30, Antelope Valley 27--The Marauders (1-2) could not hold a three-point lead in the final three minutes and lost their Foothill Conference opener at Rio Hondo.

Antelope Valley took a 27-24 lead on quarterback Chris Molloy’s 12-yard pass to Scott Hutchinson.

On Rio Hondo’s next possession, Quanza Hawkins ran 73 yards to the Marauder two. Gabe Gutierrez threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Heber Anguiano to put Rio Hondo (3-0) ahead.
