Ron Stern scored a shorthanded goal with 7:53 remaining to lift Calgary into a 3-3 tie with the Mighty Ducks in an NHL exhibition game Tuesday night.

Duck goaltender Mikhail Shtalenkov, who made 27 saves, stopped five shots in overtime to preserve the tie.

Calgary was whistled for 15 minor penalties, but the Ducks were unable to capitalize. The Ducks were one for 11 on the power play and failed to convert on a pair of two-man advantages.
