OXNARD : 10,000 Affected by Brief Power Outage
A power outage in Oxnard left 10,129 residences and businesses without electricity for 22 minutes Tuesday.
The outage occurred at 12:18 p.m. when a large circuit breaker at an unstaffed Gonzales Road substation exploded for unknown reasons, interrupting electrical service to all of north Oxnard, said Millie Paul, a Southern California Edison Co. spokeswoman.
Edison is investigating the cause of the explosion, Paul said.
