Reggie McGrew, one of Florida’s top freshmen who sat out the first four games after questions were raised about a class he took in high school, has been cleared to play by the NCAA. Coach Steve Spurrier said McGrew, a 6-foot-3, 270-pound defensive lineman, will be in uniform Saturday when the third-ranked Gators play at No. 21 Louisiana State.

Scott Milanovich is still Maryland’s starting quarterback, although he might not be around at the finish this weekend if he again has difficulty producing touchdowns.

Milanovich will get his second start of the season Saturday when the Terrapins face Wake Forest. Milanovich sat out the first four games of the season because of a gambling suspension, and his long-awaited return last week was hardly impressive.

The fifth-year senior completed 32 of 51 passes for 352 yards but Maryland lost, 31-3.
