El Pollo Loco: The Irvine chain will add Foster’s Freeze’s soft-serve desserts at most of its 107 company-owned restaurants during the next few months, company executives said Wednesday. An undetermined number of El Pollo Loco’s 107 franchise stores also will add Foster’s Freeze menu items.

“We’re going to offer real good desserts that are a real good value,” El Pollo Loco Vice President Lou Fansonsaid. “We hope to have them rolled out at most of our locations by the end of January.”

El Pollo Loco had been testing Foster’s Freeze desserts at a handful of stores, including one in Anaheim Hills. Next year, San Luis Obispo-based Foster’s will add the entire El Pollo Loco menu at a pair of stores in Santa Maria and Chico.
