Plans for Reservoir Endanger Lives
* Camarillo’s proposed location of a 4-million-gallon reservoir on an unstable hillside above a residential community is a planned disaster.
Most of us in California know it is not “if” but “when” we will have the next earthquake. Most of us also know you don’t have to be on or even near a fault to have damage. Remember all the damage in Camarillo from the Northridge quake, and that is 60 miles away.
There are thousands of acres of uninhabited land in and around Camarillo much better suited for a reservoir that would not endanger the lives of people in the community.
