ANNAPOLIS, Md. — Air Force already leads the Western Athletic Conference, and now the Falcons are poised to win something even more important.
Quarterback Beau Morgan accounted for 273 yards and two touchdowns as Air Force extended its domination of Navy with a 30-20 victory Saturday. Morgan ran 26 times for 113 yards.
The Falcons can win the Commander-in-Chief’s trophy, symbolic of service academy football supremacy, by beating Army on Nov. 11.
Air Force is 11-1 against Navy and Army in the 1990s. Navy (2-4) hasn’t won the trophy since 1981 and has lost 13 of its last 14 against the Falcons (5-2).
