NBC Makes Change to AL Game

The plan was for Channel 4 to show Saturday’s National League championship series game between Cincinnati and Atlanta, but instead it showed the American League matchup of Seattle and Cleveland for the third game in a row.

“We decided to show the NL game because of all the complaint calls we received about L.A., a National League city, not showing the Reds and Braves,” said Kevin LaBeach, Channel 4 sports producer. “But our decision was superseded by the network. We got word from New York [Saturday morning] to show the other game.”
