Valleywide : Morning Fog, Warm Afternoons Expected

San Fernando Valley residents can expect foggy mornings and warm afternoons this week, the National Weather Service said.

“That will pretty much be the trend through the weekend there,” said Stuart Seto, a National Weather Service spokesman in Oxnard.

High temperatures hit the low 80s to low 90s throughout the Valley on Sunday. Temperatures will drop off slightly today, but a high-pressure system that can block the cooling effect from the ocean was expected to move into the Valley later this week and bring slightly warmer temperatures.

Seto said that skies will be mostly sunny with few clouds throughout the week and no precipitation. The morning fog should burn off by noon on most days.

The high temperature in Van Nuys was 88 Sunday, with a low of 53. Woodland Hills had a high of 97 and a low of 49.
