Los Angeles police Monday arrested two men as they fled from a Great Western Bank they had allegedly robbed.

Police said they were uncertain of the identities of the two men, who were nabbed by officers responding to a customer’s call.

The men entered the bank in the 6600 block of Topanga Canyon Boulevard about 2 p.m. brandishing pistols, Sgt. Paul Sciarillo said. They left minutes later with an undisclosed sum of cash, but an onlooker outside spotted them and called police, he said.

Officers were directed to the fleeing suspects and took them into custody, Sciarillo said.
