COMPANY TOWN : New CEO at Sony Video Game Unit

Sony Corp. has appointed Bruce Stein president and chief executive of its Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. video game unit, and Martin Homlish as president of Sony Computer Entertainment America. Stein was formerly a consultant with DreamWorks SKG and before that president of Kenner Products. He replaces Olaf Olafsson, who moved to a new position within the company. Homlish, formerly senior vice president of Sony Electronics’ consumer products group, has been acting president of Sony Computer Entertainment since August when previous president Steve Race resigned unexpectedly.

* Columbia TriStar Television has named Sander Schwartz, now in charge of business affairs for Columbia Pictures Television, to head a new children’s programming unit.

* Deborah S. Rosen has been appointed senior vice president for corporate communications and public affairs for MCA Inc.
