SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO : Job-Training Program Participants Honored
Four of 29 students recognized this month as exemplary participants in a countywide job-training program were from the Capistrano Unified School District.
Honorees for the 1994-95 school year were Manuel Gutierrez, Laura Orozco, Maria Paniagua and Guy Scott, all high school graduates with plans to attend Saddleback Community College.
The students were participants in a Job Training Partnership Act program run by the Orange County Private Industry Council. The program provides employment and training to help young people prepare for careers.
“It was especially exciting for us to see their tremendous personal growth,” said Barbara Beier, supervisor for the district’s youth employment training program.
