PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : NFC : $12,000 Not Fine, This Giant Says
Associated Press
New York Giant defensive tackle Keith Hamilton plans to appeal a $12,000 fine from the NFL for hitting Philadelphia Eagle quarterback Rodney Peete with the crown of his helmet.
Peete sustained a concussion on the play late in the first half of the Eagles’ 17-14 victory on Oct. 15.
Hamilton was perplexed how the league could fine him for a play on which referee Ron Blum didn’t penalize him.
Hamilton has 10 days to appeal.
