Kyion Grayes rushed for two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, and Adrian Vargas gained 131 yards on the ground to lead Troy to a 27-18 victory over La Habra in a Freeway League game Friday night at La Habra.

Troy (4-4, 1-2) overcame three lost fumbles in the opening 15 minutes of the first half and took the lead for good on touchdown runs of 39 yards by Vargas and 16 yards by Frank Pacheco. In the second quarter, the Warriors had 155 of their 283 yards rushing.

La Habra (3-5, 1-2) was paced on offense by quarterback Jon Marshall, who passed for 253 yards and three touchdowns. However, Marshall was intercepted three times, twice by Jason Ferren.

The second interception by Ferren led to Grayes’ five-yard touchdown run with 9 minutes 7 seconds remaining in the game. Grayes added a six-yard scoring run with just under two minutes left as the Warriors took a 27-12 lead.

After missing a field goal, La Habra defensive end William Bodnar recovered Grayes’ fumble at the Warrior 24-yard line. On the next play, Marshall connected with Charles Cherone for a touchdown with 29 seconds remaining in the first quarter. Marshall later hit Chris Falcioni with a 10-yard touchdown toss to cut the Troy halftime lead to 14-12.
