ORANGE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL / PREP EXTRA : Oliver’s Four Scores Help Sunny Hills Rout Buena Park

Robert Oliver rushed for 124 yards and scored four touchdowns as Sunny Hills defeated Buena Park, 35-3, in a Freeway League game Friday.

Sunny Hills, which caused five turnovers on defense, improves to 4-4-1, 2-1 in league play. Buena Park is 0-9, 0-4.

Buena Park recovered its onside kick to start the game and drove to the Lancer 28-yard line before Jude Reyes kicked a 45-yard field goal with 7:31 left in the first quarter for a 3-0 lead.

Oliver scored on a 16-yard run with 3:51 left in the quarter to put Sunny Hills ahead, 7-3. After Jason Hayward recovered a Niel Flores fumble, Oliver scored on an eight-yard run on the last play of the first quarter to give Sunny Hills a 14-3 lead.

Oliver scored on a seven-yard run in the second quarter and a three-yard run in the third quarter to make it 28-3.

The Sunny Hills defense limited Buena Park to 35 yards in total offense, all on the ground, in the first half.

After Guy Porter intercepted a Brian McDonald pass on the first play of the fourth quarter, Chris Velotta scored on a six-yard touchdown to make it 35-3.
