On Calvary Chapel’s next possession, Kuhn scored his second touchdown from 22 yards on a sweep to put the Eagles ahead, 14-0, at the end of the first quarter.

Whittier Christian (2-7, 1-3) was unable to muster any form of offense. In the second quarter, Ronnie Nesland of the Eagles intercepted a Chris Vanderhook pass and returned it 61 yards to put Calvary Chapel up 25-0. Kruse ran in for the two-point conversion for a 27-0 halftime lead.
