The Golden Hawks opened the scoring with an 83-yard drive late in the first quarter. Kelly went in from six yards out on the first play of the second quarter to give El Dorado a 7-0 lead. Myers made it 14-0 with six minutes 31 seconds left in the half when he scored on a two-yard run.

Century had its chances, but the Centurions were stopped twice on fourth down deep in Golden Hawks’ territory. Century had the ball inside El Dorado’s 10 with time running out in the first half, but on fourth-and-goal from the one, quarterback Jerry Diaz was stopped for no gain by B.J. Dyer.

Diaz had a good first half throwing the ball, completing nine of 13 passes for 123 yards. Eight of the passes went to Roland Cortez for 113 yards.

Myers added a touchdown with 2:06 left in the third quarter when he scored from 12 yards out.

El Dorado quarterback Mike Marzicola completed five of 11 passes for 89 yards.
