Thousand Oaks 27, Channel Islands 14--Eleo Cuadra rushed for 218 yards in 18 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead the Lancers to their seventh consecutive victory at Thousand Oaks.
Cuadra, a junior subbing for the injured Brandon Jackson, scored on runs of 24, 19 and 55 yards.
The Lancers (8-1, 6-0) also benefited from the combination of quarterback Scott McEwan and receiver Barrett Grindle. Grindle caught seven passes for 85 yards, and McEwan completed 11 of 14 for 119 yards.
Channel Islands trailed, 14-7, at halftime despite managing only 71 yards. The Raiders (3-6, 1-5) got to within 21-14 when Leslie Patu scored on a one-yard run. The touchdown was set up by a 39-yard fumble return by Christmas Valoaga.
Chris Melzer ran six yards for a touchdown with three minutes to play to give Thousand Oaks a 27-14 lead.
