Beach Races to Benefit Drug Abuse Education

The city’s Police Department and Pride Foundation Inc. are sponsoring the second annual DARE Dash today to raise money for drug awareness education in city schools.

The event will consist of 10-kilometer and one-mile runs along the beach.

The entry fee on race day is $15. Check-in is from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the Huntington Beach Pier, at Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street. Both races start at 8 a.m.
