Mission Energy Co.: The Irvine company, which develops and operates independent power production facilities, said Monday that it has received $145 million in financing from Sanwa Bank Ltd. for a project near Auburndale, Fla., that sells electricity to Florida Power Corp. and steam to two industrial companies. The financing consists of a $126-million term loan and a $19-million letter of credit.
Mission Energy is a subsidiary of SCEcorp, which also owns Southern California Edison Co.
