A county judge Friday refused to order the Cleveland Browns to make immediate refunds for people who have tickets to the team’s three remaining home games.

Also Friday, Mayor Michael White urged fans to support the team despite their dislike of owner Art Modell, while lawyers for the state and a Cleveland bank filed court documents in support of the city’s lawsuit against the Browns.

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Kenneth Callahan did not rule out refunds, but he said ticket-holders would not be irreparably damaged if he delayed a decision until the class-action cases are consolidated.

The Associated Press reported erroneously Thursday that the Oakland Raiders acknowledged reneging on a promise to offer more than 1,000 extra tickets to season-ticket holders for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. The story also incorrectly attributed to the Raiders a statement that the tickets instead went to luxury box holders and employees of the city, Alameda County and Oakland Coliseum Complex.

San Diego Charger running back Natrone Means will sit out his second consecutive start Sunday against Denver because of a groin strain. . . . Free safety Eddie Anderson, who has not played since pulling his right hamstring against Indianapolis on Oct. 22, will return to the Raiders’ starting lineup Sunday.
