Cal State Northridge held a 16-point third-quarter lead Saturday night, but Cal State Sacramento won, 20-16, by scoring 20 points in the final four minutes of the game.
The Matadors, 2-8 overall and 1-2 in the American West Conference, finished with their worst record since 1974.
Sacramento (4-6-1, 3-0) is the outright champion of the AWC.
Cal Poly SLO 52, Eastern Washington 35--Brandon Stott rallied the Mustangs (5-6) with two touchdown passes for the victory over the Eagles (3-8).
