Rape Suspect May Live Near Scene of Crime
Detectives tracking a man who raped a 9-year-old Lake Forest girl suspect the attacker lives nearby and may be familiar with the area, Orange County Sheriff’s Department officials said Monday.
The girl was abducted Oct. 21 from a sidewalk near Serrano Road and raped in a wooded area in Serrano Park, officials said.
Investigators have followed up about 300 leads and now suspect the man has preyed upon other South County residents, Sheriff’s Lt. Ron Wilkerson said.
On Monday, authorities released an updated composite sketch of the man and described him as white, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 to 180 pounds.
He has light-brown, straight, shoulder-length hair that is fine, chiseled facial features, no facial hair and little body hair.
