Knee Injury Sidelines Notre Dame’s Vincent

Share

Senior Brenna Vincent, Notre Dame High’s most valuable soccer player last season, will not play for the Knights this season because of lingering effects of a knee injury she suffered in February.

Vincent, a sweeper who made The Times’ all-area team and was a first-team all-Mission League selection, helped Notre Dame to a 17-6 record and a second-place league finish. The team advanced to the second round of the Southern Section Division II playoffs.

“If this was going to happen it’s best that it happened now,” Notre Dame Coach Neezer McNab said. “Now we at least have the preseason to try and find a replacement for our best player.”
