THOUSAND OAKS : Official to Be Selected for Regional Council
Thousand Oaks’ Civic Arts Plaza will be crowded with elected officials Tuesday night as council members from five area cities convene to choose a representative to the Southern California Assn. of Governments.
Politicians from District 46--which includes Agoura Hills, Simi Valley, Westlake Village, Moorpark and Thousand Oaks--will vote to decide who will serve on the association’s Regional Council.
The two declared candidates are Moorpark Mayor Pro Tem Bernardo Perez and Thousand Oaks Mayor Pro Tem Andy Fox, who is expected to be selected as mayor later that evening.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m. in the Forum Theater.
