Memorial for Tzerko Set at UCLA

The UCLA Music Department will host a memorial celebrating the life of longtime UCLA faculty member Aube Tzerko, who taught in the department from 1959 to 1993, on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Schoenberg Hall Auditorium on the Westwood campus. Tzerko died in September at the age of 86.
Karl Malden will serve as master of ceremonies. Among the participants are former Tzerko students Misha Dichter, Rebecca Penneys, Edward Auer and Lincoln Mayorga. In addition, pianists Stephen Prutsman and Xak Bjerken will perform. The memorial will also include videotapes, recordings and exhibits.
Admission is free to the memorial. Parking, $5, is available in Lot 2, near Schoenberg Hall.
