Three mild earthquakes struck separate parts of Ventura County on Thursday, but local officials reported no damage.

An earthquake measuring 3.3 magnitude struck about three miles east of Simi Valley about 2 a.m. Thursday, according to scientists at Caltech in Pasadena.

Minutes before 9:30 a.m., seismologists reported another temblor about four miles northeast of Santa Paula, and a third earthquake struck about three miles north of Santa Paula at 3:01 p.m., officials said.

All three quakes are believed to be aftershocks of the 1994 Northridge earthquake, which devastated portions of Ventura County as well as other areas of Southern California.

Officials in Simi Valley and Santa Paula said Thursday they had received no reports of damage.
