MOJAVE —
Two earthquakes rattled this high desert community Sunday, but no damage or injuries were reported, authorities said.
A magnitude 4.0 temblor that struck at 1:48 p.m. was centered eight miles west-northwest of Mojave, said Doug Given, a seismologist at California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
That quake was followed by a magnitude 3.3 aftershock at 2:51 p.m., which was centered in the same area, Given said.
Authorities said there were no reports of injuries or damage in the area.
