Woman Dies After Car Hits Bus in L. A.
A 60-year-old Simi Valley woman died Tuesday after her car hit a Foothill Transit bus in downtown Los Angeles, authorities said.
Joan Fuca was pronounced dead at 8:10 a.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, spokeswoman Hind Baki said.
The accident occurred at 7:30 a.m. on Beaudry Avenue near Wilshire Boulevard. Fuca’s car, headed south, rear-ended the bus, Los Angeles Police Department officials said.
Fuca suffered minor injuries in the collision but also had a heart attack, authorities said.
No one on the bus was injured.
