Free Tax Preparation Assistance Offered
The Fountain Valley Library will offer free income tax assistance starting in February.
Volunteers who have completed an Internal Revenue Service training program will be on hand Feb. 5 to April 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the library’s community room. They will be available to answer questions and provide help with basic state and federal tax forms.
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is a free service for people who cannot afford professional financial services. The program is also open to people with disabilities, those who have difficulty understanding English, the elderly and others with special needs.
