ANNIVERSARIES MASS: Cardinal Roger M. Mahony will celebrate a wedding anniversary Mass on Sunday in Granada Hills for Catholic couples who this year are observing their 25th, 50th and 50-years-plus anniversaries.

The archdiocese’s 21st annual Mass honoring married couples will start at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, 16545 Chatsworth St. A reception will follow.

On Feb. 11, another Mass for couples in the San Fernando Pastoral Region who are celebrating their 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 30th, 35th, 40th, 45th, 50th and higher anniversaries will be held at St. Finbar Catholic Church in Burbank with Auxiliary Bishop Armando X. Ochoa of Mission Hills presiding.

HOLOCAUST TALKS: During an exhibition at the Bernard Milken Jewish Community Campus of artwork focused on the World War II-era Holocaust, a series of public lectures will be given at the West Hills facility.

The exhibition of 80 works by 27 artists will open Jan. 30 and run through April 16 in the Finegood Art Gallery at the Jewish center, 22622 Vanowen St. Admission is free.

At 7:30 p.m. on the exhibit’s opening night, Rabbi Harold Schulweis will talk about “Righteous Gentiles” who helped Jews escape Nazi persecution and execution. Long active in documenting such activities, the senior rabbi of Valley Beth Shalom in Encino was the founding chairman in 1986 of the Jewish Foundation for Christian Rescuers/ADL.

On the three following Tuesday evenings, free lectures will be given in turn by Alex Grobman, executive director of the Jewish Federation Council’s Martyrs Memorial and Holocaust Museum; Jody Meyers, coordinator of Cal State Northridge’s Jewish Studies program, and Rabbi Robert K. Baruch, lecturer in modern Hebrew literature at Hebrew Union College in Los Angeles.

ADVENTIST ANNIVERSARY: Former Pastors Arthur Torres and Arthur L. Bietz will speak next Saturday at Glendale City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 610 E. California Ave., in services celebrating the congregation’s 90th anniversary. Information: (818) 244-7241.

BLACK & JEWISH: Julius Lester, who teaches in the Judaic and Near Eastern studies department of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, will speak Sunday in Agoura Hills on what it is like to be both African American and Jewish. The 7 p.m. lecture sponsored by the Jewish Federation Valley Alliance will be at Temple Beth Haverim, 5126 Clareton Drive. The fee is $15.
