Reward Offered in Shooting of Youth
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected of shooting a Port Hueneme resident.
On New Year’s Day, a 16-year-old youth was shot in the neck while inside his home by a man described as Latino, about 20 years old, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and wearing dark clothing, police said.
A bullet traveled through an open door in the 200 block of A Street and struck the youth. The assailant then fled in a brown four-door Chrysler sedan, police said.
Those with information should call 385-TALK.
