LITTLEROCK —
A middle-aged man was hit by a freight train and killed Wednesday evening in what authorities called a possible suicide.
The man, whose identity was not immediately known, was hit by a Southern Pacific train near the intersection of Avenue T and 96th Street East, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatcher Jeff Ziegler.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said the death appeared to be a suicide but were still investigating late Wednesday.
